Baby Roisin’s Newborn Session | Newborn Photography Limerick, Adare & Patrickswell

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of welcoming beautiful baby Roisin and her family to my studio for her newborn photography session.

Roisin’s family travelled from the Adare and Patrickswell area to the studio in West Limerick, bringing their newest little addition along to capture those first precious weeks together.

These early days really do go by in a blur. One minute you're bringing your tiny newborn home, and before you know it those impossibly small fingers and toes have changed. That’s why I love newborn photography so much—it's a way of holding onto all those little details that are so easy to forget.

Natural Newborn Photography in Limerick

My newborn photography sessions are relaxed, natural and completely baby-led. Rather than expecting your baby to stay in a particular pose or trying to make every photograph look perfectly styled, I like to allow the session to unfold naturally. There is plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, settling and all the little pauses that come with photographing a newborn.

With Roisin, we captured those tiny newborn details as well as the connection between her and her family. The sleepy moments, the cuddles and those little expressions that make your baby completely themselves. My aim is always to create photographs that feel like your family, rather than a collection of perfectly posed pictures.

Newborn Photography for Families from Adare & Patrickswell

I'm based in West Limerick and welcome families from across Limerick, North Kerry and the surrounding areas to my studio.

I regularly photograph families travelling from Adare, Patrickswell, Limerick City, Newcastle West, Glin, Listowel and surrounding areas.

If you're searching for a newborn photographer in Limerick, a studio outside the city can be a lovely option for your newborn session. My studio provides a warm, private and relaxed environment where we can take our time and follow your baby's lead.

For families in Adare and Patrickswell, the studio is conveniently located for travelling out from the wider Limerick area.

When Should You Book Your Newborn Session?

I recommend booking your newborn photography session while you're still pregnant. This allows us to reserve a place around your due date and plan for those first few weeks after your baby arrives.

Newborn sessions are ideally photographed during the first two weeks, when babies tend to be sleepier and naturally curl into those lovely newborn positions.

But if your baby is already a few weeks old, don't assume you've missed your chance. Every baby is different, and there are still so many beautiful photographs we can create as your baby grows and becomes more alert.

A Relaxed Studio Experience for New Parents

Having a newborn is a big adjustment, and the last thing I want is for your photography session to feel like another thing you need to get right.

You don't need to arrive with a perfectly settled baby. You don't need to know how to pose. And you definitely don't need to worry if your baby needs to feed or be cuddled throughout the session.

That's all part of it.

I'll guide you through the photographs while allowing plenty of time for your baby to settle and for those genuine family moments to happen.

Because years from now, you probably won't remember whether your baby slept for the entire photography session. You'll remember how tiny they were. You'll remember the way they fitted into your arms. And you'll want photographs that bring you right back to that moment.
